2021 Tokyo Central Fukubukuro

On New Years Day, I bought another fukubukuro (lucky bag) from Tokyo Central. This one is strictly beauty products. The back has a photo display of the products inside with a little disclaimer that some products are subject to change. Here's the reveal.

2021 Mitsuwa Fukubukuro

Mitsuwa Martketplace had 2021 fukubukuro available. They offered 3 different types: kids, beauty, and regular. I picked up the regular one. I honestly can't remember the price. I'm guessing it was around $50. Once I opened it, the contents were mainly beauty stuff. I don't mind but what's the point of the beauty fukubukuro ? LOL!

Japan Trip 2015: Day 2 Kashiwa, Liz Lisa, Don Quijote, Seria Haul, Kula Dinner

Day 2 we went to Kashiwa which was one stop away from Abiko on the subway. Kashiwa is a sister city to Torrance, California. I always wanted to apply for the student exchange program in high school but my family situation is a bit weird (I blame my sister) so I knew I wouldn't be accepted. Luckily, my friend Sayuri got accepted so she was able to tell me her experience. Anyways, I thought Kashiwa would be a country suburb area like Abiko but it's totally the opposite! Tall buildings, fancy malls and with a bit of agricultural nature. Sho's mom said it's a busy city like Shinjuku, maybe better. Everything was close by Big Camera, Liz Lisa, Don Quijote, Lalaport, Aeon Mall.

The weather's been a bit odd lately. Really hot and dry and then cold and gloomy. I really needed this mask. I have such huge eye bags and dry skin lately. I blame school. This mask really brightens and moisturizes my skin.

Purple Bath Set

Back in May, I went over to my auntie's house for Mother's Day party. It was a potluck so I made chirashi and shrimp tempura. I always feel awkward being there because everyone else is much closer. We just see them once a year whereas they see other all the time. My dad and sister weren't there as always. Dad isn't the social type and my sister would any excuse not to go so she happened to "help out" at a church event. It was a good thing I forced my bf to come because I didn't want to be alone and it was a good thing because once my mother entered the place she immediately sat down with all the other older relatives leaving me and Sho to fend for ourselves haha! We ate dinner with everyone and made small talk with my second cousins and our time was cut short because Sho needed to spend time with his mother for mother's day. Apparently his parents had dinner reservations (yikes) so I kinda sped back to Torrance on the freeway. Dropped my mom off, then went to meet with his parents for dinner.

Long story short, the relatives gave us our christmas presents at the party because I was in Japan during winter so I missed their xmas gathering. I got this purple bath set. They know I love this kind of stuff and it has floral print. They know me so well lol 

 

Daiso Pomegranate Yogurt Pack

I bought 4 different Yogurt Facial packs from Daiso a couple weeks back. I learned that yogurt is not only beneficial for your digestive system but also for your skin. Ehow says "Yogurt is effective at cleansing and disinfecting pores, preventing acne, moisturizing skin and revitalizing its texture." Since I'm on winter break might as well use this pack.

How to use:
The directions are listed in Japanese and English on the cover.
❤After face is washed, the skin toner is painted, and please avoid surrounds of the eyes and mouth and paint the yogurt pack on entire face. Please wipe off by cotton in 5~10mins, and flush it with lukewarm water.
❤Apply 2 times a week


Packaging: 
For pomegranate, the front cover is red. You can detach the two packs by ripping them apart at the middle then peeling off the cover to use product. When you peel the cover, it appears to not have much product because it doesn't fill up the whole container. But once you spread it all over your face, you notice that it's a good amount and end up with leftovers. With the leftovers, I just ended up spreading it on my neck and hands.

Scent:
Smelled really good. I just wanted to eat it *_*

Price:
$1.50 for two packs!

Mask:
After a minute (with the product over my face), I started to feel a burning sensation on my face. Some masks I tried before usually give me a light burning sensation but this one was REALLY burning. Then my face cooled down and I waited for 10mins to pass. I washed off the mask and my skin felt super smooth. I'm lactose intolerant so I can understand why my skin was reacting the way it was. But I don't suggest this everyone.

Even though, I'm lactose intolerant, my case my not be as bad as other people with it. I'm just a rebel and eat/use diary products whenever I want and suffer afterwards.



Pros:
- Lots of product
- Smells yummy
- Really good for people with acne

Cons:
- Not everyone can use especially if they are allergic

Rose Items

Last week, went to Daiso for no particular reason. I ended up buying 3 rose items.

Rose Mirror
It's a small compact mirror. Good to carry around in your purse.


Rose soap
Four small soap bars come inside. The scent is very light.


Rose Bath Essence
Rose scented water to add to your shower or bath. The scent is very light to the point where you can't smell anything. I had to use half the bottle to get a strong smell. 

Peach Leaf Hand Soap

I bought this from Daiso a while back for my college dorm bathroom. I thought this would have a strong peach smell but boy was I wrong. Doesn't smell like peaches or peach leaves. It's just scentless. At least it was only $1.50

Scent: The smell has more of a lemon smell than green apple. The smell reminds me of Fruit Loops cereal. Yum!

Texture: White, thick and creamy. The same consistency has sunscreen. You have to rub the moisture in really good or else it'll leave a white residue.


Overall
The smell is alright but I was really looking forward to more of a green apple scent. My skin has been dry lately during this california heat wave. I think it's because I'm drinking too much soda and not enough water. This moisturizer helps put back the moisture into my face.

Overall:
For me, this doesnt't take off my make-up in one swipe. I say, stick with your usual make-up remover and use this to catch any leftover debree. I like to use this as a morning cleanser to wake-up my skin. It has a refreshing feeling and it helps remove my raccoon eye make-up.

Mango Mask

I haven't been getting enough sleep due to this new semester. I need to use some facial masks to improve my dead looking face.

Today, I bought a couple masks in the beauty section of Marukai. A lot of the cheap masks were sold out. Mango and Pomegranate were the only ones left to choose from.

Bath & Body Works

My boyfriends parents came back from their weekend in Vegas. They stayed at the Paris Hotel and brought back some souvenirs for me (yay).

This cup is huge. I'm excited to use this. Love the pink.



They also bought me anti-bacterial soap that I love so much. The scents are sweet pea, peach, and caribbean escape. The peach one looks a little weird in the middle cause of its foam dispenser. lol.

La Source Gommage Exfoliant

A couple weeks ago, I went to the Crabtree & Evelyn store to buy some skincare products. Their skincare products are a bit pricey compared to Bath & Body Works but I feel they work better for my skin. I bought the Gommage Exfoliant. It's infused with peppermint, conditioning emollient oils, and fine pumice. They recommend using it on your knees and elbows but I use it on my arms and legs. The smell feels like I'm bathing in the ocean.

I bought several masks from a Korean Supermarket. The cosmetic section had a buy 10 masks for $10 get the 11th mask free. I purchased Pumpkin, Banana, Hub, Arbutin, Cellulose Collagen Eye patch (3 packs), Green Tea, Coenzyme Q10, Collagen, and Lemon.
