2021 Tokyo Central Fukubukuro

On New Years Day, I bought another fukubukuro (lucky bag) from Tokyo Central. This one is strictly beauty products. The back has a photo display of the products inside with a little disclaimer that some products are subject to change. Here's the reveal.

Gift from Sayuri

So my best friend Sayuri, who now lives in New York, came back from a recent trip to Japan. She sent me a package containing omiyage (souvenir)!

I actually requested Starbucks Japan tumbler. They release limited items once a year during the Sakura season. I'm so happy she got me one. I already ate the Kit Kats and Hawaiian chocolates lol.

I can't wait to try the beauty products and sip Hojicha Latte in my new tumbler.

Thank you again Sayuri!

July 2015 Haul

I'm really behind on posts. This should've been posted earlier in July. Oh well. I haven't bought makeup in a while so decided to purchase some makeup at my local Japanese supermarket. I'll do some what of in-depth review on them separately.

Japan Trip 2015: Day 2 Kashiwa, Liz Lisa, Don Quijote, Seria Haul, Kula Dinner

Day 2 we went to Kashiwa which was one stop away from Abiko on the subway. Kashiwa is a sister city to Torrance, California. I always wanted to apply for the student exchange program in high school but my family situation is a bit weird (I blame my sister) so I knew I wouldn't be accepted. Luckily, my friend Sayuri got accepted so she was able to tell me her experience. Anyways, I thought Kashiwa would be a country suburb area like Abiko but it's totally the opposite! Tall buildings, fancy malls and with a bit of agricultural nature. Sho's mom said it's a busy city like Shinjuku, maybe better. Everything was close by Big Camera, Liz Lisa, Don Quijote, Lalaport, Aeon Mall.

[Liz Lisa] Christmas Gift To Myself

During Christmas, I bought several items for myself just in case I didn't like Liz Lisa's fukubukuro items. Liz Lisa was having a good sale at the time so why not spend the remaining portion of Birthday/Christmas money. I ended up going over budget and couldn't pay for shipping until February ORZ hahaha *sigh*.

TIMELINE (PST - Pacific Standard Time)
12/10 Purchased items from Tokyo Kawaii Life
12/11 Tokyo Kawaii Life shipped out parcel
12/13 Tenso received package
2/18 I paid for shipping
2/19 Tenso shipped out package
2/23 I received package

Shipping Costs
5 clothing items + 2 pairs of shoes = 8,380円
Weight= 3880g

The lighting is TERRIBLE. I know. My floral print background was in the washer so I had to use my ugly grey carpet. California weather has been cold and gloomy this whole week. Took pictures in the kitchen because it had the best light source compared to my room. I tried to fix pics with Camera 360 app but UGH!!!. I'm going to re-take pictures of these items when the weather is sunny.

Penpal Haruka

So back in November 2014, a girl in Japan liked my Bath & Body Works Haul on my Instragram. She really wanted soaps but there's no store in Japan. I DMed her asking if she was interested in a goods swap. I sent her Bath & Body Works hand soap and she'll send me Japanese makeup. Our spending limit was $20USD. I bought her 2 hand soaps and 5 mini hand sanitizers along with some Christmas chocolate from Ghiradelli. I included a hand written letter introducing myself. I noticed she liked stickers so I added some of those in the package too. She posted two photos on her Instagram pic 1 and pic 2.

Here's her package she sent me!

3x Pure Smiles Facial Masks
Canmake Lip Gloss
Canmake Nail Polish
Canmake Eyeshadow. I already did a review of this product here.
along with a hand written letter introducing herself and she even included cute pictures of her family Awwwwww ^__^//

My penpal's name is Haruka. She's 27, married with a cute baby boy! ^_^/

Liz Lisa mini haul

I forgot that I purchased a couple items from Liz Lisa back in August. Tenso sent me an email saying that the 60day hold period was about to end and that I had 7 days to make payment or else they would have to discard it. I think this is the smallest Liz Lisa online purchase.

Photos were taken using iPhone 5s. I forgot my digi cam.

Mail from Beth

My lovely friend Beth sends me mail with nice gifts from Hawaii. These were gifts for separate occasions but decided to make a combine post. The Liz Lisa and contact lens were xmas/bday. The Sando de Panda gifts were from a time I made a post on facebook that I wanted these and Beth remembered ;__; so sweet. She also gave me eyeliners from Sephora.

Thank you Beth

* After I uploaded this.. just realized the contacts moved :/

2014 Liz Lisa & Tralala Reveal

Sorry for the delay. Yesterday had awful lighting. The pictures turned out so dark. I had to brighten all the photos. Damn you california the one day there's no sun! I also didn't think it would take over 3hrs to take these photos. I think I ended up with 358 photos to review. Then Sho came over and ended up using my laptop to play League of Legends for the whole night which left me either sleeping or watching tv (T_T) He went to bed around 12am so I started editing for 3 hours.

so beautiful ;____;

This is an extremely picture heavy post!

Please wait for photos to load!

Thank you ^_^

Sayuri's Birthday Gift

The day after my birthday, I had lunch with Sayuri at Kagura. We talked about school, boyfriends, jobs etc. You know, girl talk. After we finished eating, I opened her present. It was a huge box. I was like "OMG. I hope you didn't spend too much". She knew I liked those monthly makeup bags so she created a makeup bag for me. OMG SHE IS SO SWEET! It was very sweet. My heart was touched!! *kisses* >u<//

A week prior, I told her that I liked e.l.f's new holiday collection and she bought be the 96 eyeshadow palette and lip gloss set. And wow look at all the pa nail polishes. I'm in nail polish heaven. I'm just in aww now. I can't wait to try the nails once finals are over. OMG.

THANK YOU SAYURI

Penderie Debut

8/31 Tralala released their sub/sister brand Penderie. Penderie's style is European inspired with a bit of sweet romance (romantic gyaru). Wahhh I love it. It's my new obsession. In my package, I received Tralala's anniversary bag, Penderie clear file and Liz Lisa's Kawaii Magazine. I also got Tralala Bath mat and slippers free with a purchase of 9300円 or more.

Jugeetta, Tralala, and Liz Lisa Haul

Wasn't too sure if I should call this a haul cause I only bought three things but I'm very excited my package came in. This is my first time purchasing from Jugeetta. For those who don't know what the brand is, it's a sister brand to Liz Lisa. The clothing is for older ladies who moved from the LL brand or just want a more mature look. The reason I don't purchase any items from this store is because it's really expensive normally ranging from $100-200 and with international it will kill my wallet.

Aug 2nd: ordered 3 items from Vent International. Total 6373円
Aug 3rd: Tenso received my package. Paid 3780円 for shipping.
Aug 5th: Tenso shipped my package.
Aug 8th: Received package.

Warning! Picture heavy below!

AX 2013 Purchases

Here's what I bought during AX. This year some of Japan's popular fashion brands: Liz Lisa, Liz Lisa Doll, Tralala, Ma*rs, GOLDS infinity, and GLAVIL by tutuHA came to AX. It's the first of its kind. Since Japanese manga/anime are so popular they wanted to see how the brands would market in America. It's a good idea cause Anime Expo attracts over 61,000 people. It's a good way to get the brand out there. There are just a couple problems.. price and audience. For the price, I thought it was good considering the importing/shipment coming to America. They didn't over charge customers but they charge california tax. Somme AX goers might be intimidated with the price and move on to the next booth. Even though AX brings in 60k people, AX target is the stereotypical otaku. Most of the attendees where male who had no interest or no girlfriends to buy gal brands. A lot of the LA gyaru worked/came to support the brands. It was nice to see them even for few minutes. ^_^ I didn't have my camera on me so I don't have much pics with them *sad* Some brands struggled but I know Ma*rs and Liz Lisa did well. AX was a good stepping stone to spread gyaru fashion! *cheers*

Sayuri's Gift

Happy Monday!
It's 3am in california. I'm a night owl which is why I always have puffy/baggy eyes. Anime Expo was last week and I've been meaning to make a post about the event but this is more important!

My best friend Sayuri came back from Tokyo recently. She was there for two weeks for an educational tour. She and 24 other students visited Sendai, Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka. All the activities and places she visited sounded really exciting. It would be nice to do all the touristy things for once. They offer winter and summer session but you can only do the program once. So I must plan accordingly. I need to look more into the program.

Here's the omiyage/souvenir she got me. I really appreciate it. I'm so thankful for wonderful friends like her! ^o^////

WOWZA!! わあ、凄いですよ!
