Shibuya LA Grand Opening

September 17th (saturday) went to the grand store opening of Shibuya LA with my friend Maki. Shibuya LA is a store that brings popular trends from Shibuya, Japan to gals in LA. This was the owner's second store featuring lingerie from Japan. The grand opening offered snacks, drinks, and live dj.

We arrived early so we could get a gyaru make-over by Michi. I was shocked by how different I looked. I couldn't believe the girl I was looking in the mirror was me. LOL. I honestly loved it! Afterwards, we did a meet & greet of the gyaru's that arrived early. At night, it was crazy crowded. I had to stand outside a couple times because of the body heat. After the party, ate dinner at Jazz Cat with the new friends I made.

Be prepared for lots of photos....

I wish the night didn't end because I meet some great people. It's so nice meeting people that have the same interests in Japanese fashion. I hope to see them again soon!

Internet LAG

This past week I've been suffering from shitty internet. My internet provider is AT&T and it's the worst piece of shit internet ever. When it does work, it works great but a few days out of the month I want to seriously rip my hair out. Every morning/night I gotta reboot internet several times. I hope to post about my weekend and gyaru event tomorrow.

White Nails + Gyaru Makeover

So on saturday, I went to the grand opening of the store Shibuya LA (more info will be on my next entry). Before the party, I bought a pair of pre-made nails for $40 from one of the store's nearby. The box was from Yukiumi. At first the nails looked great but after a gluing a couple nails onto my fingers some of the gems were falling off. After intense gluing I was set for the night.

That was saturday and now for the verdict...
HATE IT with a passion!!

It's wednesday and I can't stand these nails. Every couple of hours doing daily tasks the entire nail comes off and I must glue again. I already used up all the nail glue because I kept on having to either glue back on the accessories or glue the nail itself. Complete hassle to deal with. Ugh.

From buying pre-made nails, I save $20 compared to the price my nail artist charges. I honestly rather pay $60 for good quality nails that actually lasts longer than a month than having cheap pre-made nails that could barely last a day.

Can you believe this is me? I got a gyaru make-over.

Mango Mask

I haven't been getting enough sleep due to this new semester. I need to use some facial masks to improve my dead looking face.

Today, I bought a couple masks in the beauty section of Marukai. A lot of the cheap masks were sold out. Mango and Pomegranate were the only ones left to choose from.
Price: $0.99

Mango extract can treat acne as mangoes are said to open the clogged pores of the skin. Unclogging the pores of the skin can be an affective way to get rid of acne.

Juicy Couture Bracelet

This is a lovely charm and lip gloss bracelet.  I removed the lipgloss from the bracelet and put it into my cosmetic bag. The lipgloss is small in size but comes in handy. Price: 15.00

I bought this the same time with the headbands from my previous post.

Floral Hair Clip + Dress

The weather in california is burning hot. I have to apply sunscreen every 2 hours. It's starting to get really noticeable how tan my arms are compared to my legs.

I wore this dress a couple days ago. I really like the floral print even though it doesn't turn out great in photos. The dress has a low cut which I don't like cause I have to keep adjusting it or else my bra will be exposed. And it's not like I have the boobs to support it.

One thing I noticed about my digital camera is that it takes great upclose shots especially when the lighting is good.

Nails + Gaja

My best friend, Sarah, got her nails done Japanese 3D style. BLING BLING for sure. She hasn't had her nails done for a while so it was a nice luxury. She's a hard worker so she deserves it. I'm guessing her theme was Kuromi x Guns. Why guns? She was going to Vegas for the weekend to attend the gun show. I think it matches. Kuromi is a little devious one. I really digging that big gem. I'll get that on my nails next time ^^

Gaja
Gaja is known for their okonomiyaki but their dessert menu is amazing. I'm in love with their parfaits. My goal is to taste all their parfaits.

Juicy Couture Headband

On my trip to Vegas, I checked out the Juicy store. They had a summer sale going on. Some items were marked 35-50% off. The headbands were 50% off so I bought 2 (brown & turquoise) for $15.00 each.

In the photo's I didn't do my hair. I didn't use hair creams like I normally do. Just let it air dry. It looks all poofy and messy. Looked like a hippie for the day.
