Merry Christmas!

I can't believe it's Christmas! It honestly doesn't feel like it for me. When I woke up this morning, I wasn't excited to run downstairs to open presents. Just feels like a normal day. Not sure why. Anyways, I hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas spending time with loved ones.

I didn't do much today. I just did some last minute packing before I headed over to my boyfriends for Christmas dinner. On the way over, I stopped over to a Japanese bakery to pick up cake. Boyfriend's mother made yakiniku. Wha so good! I stuffed myself. Then spend the rest of the night watching Season 1 of 30 Rock. My flight to Tokyo leaves at 3pm but I need to leave the house at 11am. Holiday rush. It's going to be super crowded at LAX.

Oh yeah here are my nails for today!
I bought this from Daiso on Monday for $1.50

Daiso Pomegranate Yogurt Pack

I bought 4 different Yogurt Facial packs from Daiso a couple weeks back. I learned that yogurt is not only beneficial for your digestive system but also for your skin. Ehow says "Yogurt is effective at cleansing and disinfecting pores, preventing acne, moisturizing skin and revitalizing its texture." Since I'm on winter break might as well use this pack.

Product Info:
❤ Pomegranate Yogurt Pack
❤ 18g
❤ 2 yogurt packs

How to use:
The directions are listed in Japanese and English on the cover.
❤After face is washed, the skin toner is painted, and please avoid surrounds of the eyes and mouth and paint the yogurt pack on entire face. Please wipe off by cotton in 5~10mins, and flush it with lukewarm water.
❤Apply 2 times a week

For pomegranate, the front cover is red. You can detach the two packs by ripping them apart at the middle then peeling off the cover to use product. When you peel the cover, it appears to not have much product because it doesn't fill up the whole container. But once you spread it all over your face, you notice that it's a good amount and end up with leftovers. With the leftovers, I just ended up spreading it on my neck and hands.

Smelled really good. I just wanted to eat it *_*

$1.50 for two packs!

After a minute (with the product over my face), I started to feel a burning sensation on my face. Some masks I tried before usually give me a light burning sensation but this one was REALLY burning. Then my face cooled down and I waited for 10mins to pass. I washed off the mask and my skin felt super smooth. I'm lactose intolerant so I can understand why my skin was reacting the way it was. But I don't suggest this everyone.

Even though, I'm lactose intolerant, my case my not be as bad as other people with it. I'm just a rebel and eat/use diary products whenever I want and suffer afterwards.

- Lots of product
- Smells yummy
- Really good for people with acne

- Not everyone can use especially if they are allergic

H&M White Socks

So bored. Just blogging away. I'll be making a couple more posts before I go to bed. Right now I'm posting my H&M purchase.

Bought these cute white socks for my winter trip. I have a feeling I'll be buying lots of white clothing in Tokyo or clothing to match well with these socks.

winter trip, daiso, and nail polish

I'm so excited for my winter trip to Tokyo. It's been 3 years since the last time I visited and it'll be the first visit during winter. I usually go during the summer but I got tired of the heat. Time to bundle up for the coldness. I'll be gone Dec 26th 2012- Jan 7th 2012. My schedule is super packed with visiting relatives and fukubukuro (lucky bag) shopping.

I went to Daiso a couple weeks ago. I bought these purely out of boredom. hehe.
2 x facial washes
4 x yogurt facial packs
5 x 4 color eyeshadow
1 x 5 color eyeshadow

This purchase might be made out of boredom but I really want to expand my nail polish collection since I stopped biting my nails (woot). Since it's december I picked out this Ice Princess collection from L.A. Colors.
Price: $5.99

Candy King Size Violet

Lens Info
Price: $23.30
Usage: Yearly
BC: 8.8 mm
DIA: 14.5 mm
Water content: 38%
Package: 1 contact lens case included

Color/Design: 4/5
The color is a light lavender but when I wear it it looks like a dark purple. I still like it. The lens has an obvious thick black line around the other rim. It really creates a wider iris.

Comfort: 2/5
It was uncomfortable putting them in at first. After 8hrs, they started drying out my eyes. I was lucky to carry an extra pair of my dailies. I've been wearing these since April and I feel like 8hrs is the max for this pair before they start drying out.

Enlargement: 3/5
Even though the diameter is 14.5, it doesn't appear that large on my eyes.

Overall: 2/5
The only thing this lens has going for is the color, everything else is "meh". Whenever I wear these, people have given me compliments on the unique color.

Chocolate Mirror

I got this mirror from a lucky bag event during christmas :)
It's about the same size as powder foundation compact.
It reminds me of an Oreo. Yum.

Rose Items

Last week, went to Daiso for no particular reason. I ended up buying 3 rose items.

Rose Mirror
It's a small compact mirror. Good to carry around in your purse.

Rose soap
Four small soap bars come inside. The scent is very light.

Rose Bath Essence
Rose scented water to add to your shower or bath. The scent is very light to the point where you can't smell anything. I had to use half the bottle to get a strong smell.

AQUA BLACK Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow

Aqua Black is an ultra-pigmented waterproof cream eyeshadow that helps create the most intense and long-lasting smoky eyes.

Product Info
- 24 oz/ 7g
- Aqua Black
- Apply a small amount on the lid using a synthetic brush.
- Pat on and blend.

Price: $23.00

Where to buySephora

It comes packed inside a black, cube-shaped box with white lettering. When you twist the container open, you see a thin black seal on top to prevent the gel from drying out.

Long lasting
I can wear this 12-14+ hours without having to reapply. It lasts all day long until you remove it

In the picture, I waited for the formula to dry for a minute. I rubbed it vigorously and there was no smudge.

In the picture, I ran water over it for 15 seconds then rubbed it a little. It still stays in tact.

Eventhough this is an eyeshadow for smokey eyes, I primarily use this as an eyeliner. For the pictures below, I used an angular brush for my upper/lower eyelids. The eyeliner glides very smooth like butter. It's very pigmented. I've been using this since September. I still have a lot of product left and it's not dried out like other gel liners.

- Waterproof
- Smudge-proof
- Long wearing

- A bit pricey

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup

The mousse-like texture feels like silk on your skin. And, the time release formula balances skin for a flawless look. All day flexible wear without flaking, caking or feeling heavy.
❤ Buildable to full coverage for flawless skin
❤ Soft, matte finish all day long
❤ Withstands heat and humidity - great for summer
❤ Comes in 16 beautiful shades

Product info
- 250 Medium Beige
- 0.8 fl.oz / 23.7ml

Using your fingertips or applicator, blend foundation onto skin, starting in the center of your face, forehead, nose and chin blending outward.

The design is very simple. Glass container with black lid. It has a very professional look to it. The problem is that since it's glass, it's not very portable. Carrying this will just add unnecessary weight to your make-up bag. Better to leave it at home.

When you touch it, it feels very light and fluffy like whipped cream (hence the name). It's also very creamy. It looks thick in the container but feels thin once you blend it onto your face.

I don't really care for the scent. It smells like clay. You can definitely smell it when you first apply it. But then again I wasn't expecting it to smell like roses.

My problem areas are my freckles. The first layer has medium coverage. The second layer becomes full coverage. Even with two layers, it still feels light on my skin.
My skin type is normal to dry during the winter. Some days I have drier skin than usual. The cream texture should be able to blend into the dry spots but it actually brings out the dry spots more.

Long lasting
Very much so. I could wear this all day without having to retouch up my face. On hot days, everything else is running besides the foundation. I also use this during my workouts. I pat dry the sweat and my face still looks good. It doesn't give me a shiny face.

- Longlasting
- Blendable
- Full Coverage esp for my freckles
- Matte look
- Good for humidity/sweat

- No SPF
- Glass container(heavy and easily broken if dropped)
- Not good to wear with dry skin (dry patches show)

❤ Color #4
❤ Lip Perfecting Spheres
❤ Botanical Oils & Vitamin E
❤ Formulated for Sensitive Skin, Mirenesse Cosmetics are pharmaceutically formulated using organic Australian and safe, high quality and unique ingredients to minimise the risk of allergies.

I got this item from october subscription from IPSY. I received the full product. It retails for $41.14. Thats some expensive lip gloss. The first picture looks a bit lighter because of my lighting. The real color is the picture with color swatch on my arm. I'm very satisfied with the color. I usually don't look good with dark lip gloss but this color just looks right on me. I read on the forums that most girls got a light pink color and it didn't suit their skin tone. I guess I'm lucky to get this color.

- Pigmented
- Long lasting
-  Water-proof
- Too water-proof. Very hard to remove

In the morning, I went to Manhattan Beach for a morning workout. I wanted to do something so I can stuff myself and not feel guilty about my weight. This year I decided to spend thanksgiving with my boyfriends family. We usually have thanksgiving at my place during lunch and go to my boyfriends house for dinner but this year my dad prepared everything late so I just went to my boyfriends. They make thanksgiving enough for the day instead of the american way with eating leftovers for a week.

Black Friday
The stores this year wanted to start early. Target and Walmart decided to open 8pm & 9pm on thanksgiving. After dinner at boyfriends, we took a nap and woke up at midnight. We drove to Del Amo mall. The mall was extremely packed. More so this year than last. The longest line I saw was Urban Outfitters. The line for H&M was long as well so we decided to skip on that and headed towards Express. The entire store was 50% off (OMG). Sean bought a 2 collar shirts and a winter jacket. I bought myself a fur collar. My mom gave me $100 to buy my sister a few tops. We came back home at 1am, went to bed, then woke up again at 6am. We checked out JCP which was a fail. Too crowded and all the items we wanted were sold out. I was like "fuck this" and I drove to Century City mall near Beverly Hills. The mall was empty. I loved it. I could shop in peace. H&M still had their 5,7,10,20 dollar deals available. That is unheard of at Del Amo HA! Sean bought new shoes from Zara, shirts from H&M, and new running shoes from New Balance. We both bought clothing from Hollister for relatives in Japan. Birthday UGH. Another year older. My birthday falls on blackfriday. Last year was thanksgiving. LOL. How did I spend my birthday? Well by shopping of course :) The day passed by so fast.

Mirabella Eyeshadow - Semiformal

I received Semiformal eyeshadow by Mirabella from my september subscription from Ipsy (formally myglam).

Packaging: Ugh. Cheap packaging. They wrap the eyeshadow in a cardboard envelope with a clear circular window to see the color.

Color: It's a shimmery copper color. Neutral color that can go with pretty much anything. I really like it.

Retail price: $10.00. Too expensive and not worth it. Plus it doesn't come with a case so it's hard to store unless you have an extra empty space from your other eyeshadow palettes'.
