[Flashback Friday] Popteen February 2002

Be patient for pictures to load. There's over 80.
Hello Everyone! I'm working on 202 Premium eyelash review. Will be up in two days or so. As you know I'm a HUGE Ayumi Hamasaki fan (have over 70 magazines featuring her on the cover). I was organizing my bookshelf this week; making room for more magazines. I decided to flip through old Popteen magazines. I'm literally laughing my ass off on how terrible the fashion looks. Of course back then I thought this was soooo cool. I tried my very best to copy their fashions *sigh* I look back at my old pics and say "WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING".

Popteen has drastically over the years. Some people like it, some people don't. I particularity like the era of Tsubasa lol. She definitely made Gyaru known worldwide. Looking at 2014 Popteen, where are the gyarus? With AKB48 boom I feel like the "cute, innocent idol" look has taken over. So boring and it's making Gyaru dying out. Luckily, there's Black Diamond to revive it!

Anyways...TGIF!
Let's go back in time to February 2002.
No Tsubasa Masuwaka, No Yui Kanno, No false eyelashes, No circle lens. No dolly looks.
Oh and if you're wondering about Liz Lisa.. hahaha you're in for a ride! Liz Lisa fashion wasn't popular. It barely made a full page! Thank Tsubasa for making it popular in 2006!

I was a Cecil McBee fan girl back then >:P
But every now an then I got clothing that looked similar to Liz Lisa.

Liz Lisa Tote & Pouch x Seventeen Japan 2014

I recently bought February 2014 issue of Seventeen Japan from Sanseido. The furoku (free item) is a matching Liz Lisa tote & pouch. The small pouch comes with a zipper while the tote doesn't. The material is nothing special. Cheaply made but the print is so preety. I wish it were a canvas type >.<

Tote: 24x29x10cm

Pouch: 10x15.5cm

Thank you for reading!

UPDATE: Liz Lisa 2014 lucky pack
Tenso processed my payment so it should be arriving this week or next. ^___^

Pichi Lemon + Tralala Furoku

Every weekend, I try to organize or clean out my closet. I have a vast collection of J-magz and their furoku (free item). Need to post more items on Poupeegirl. I'll dedicate this week to old magazines & furoku items.

Pichi Lemon Jan 2011 issue

This magazine targets girls in their mid-teens. I usually don't buy this kind of mag. Then why did I buy it? Well I like the furoku. Sometimes I don't care about the mag just want the free item.

This issue's furoku came with 2 Tralala drawstring bags and an elastic hair tie. The drawstrings are made with fleece material with black & pink polka dots. Currently using the larger one as a camera case. Not sure what use I have for the small drawstring but I'll figure it out. The hair tie has a cute puff ball on it. Was planning on taking a photo of me wearing but I'm feeling kinda lazy.

Below the page cut I took some pictures of cute middle school fashion with my camera. Someday I will buy a scanner! ^^;;
