2021 Mitsuwa Fukubukuro

Mitsuwa Martketplace had 2021 fukubukuro available. They offered 3 different types: kids, beauty, and regular. I picked up the regular one. I honestly can't remember the price. I'm guessing it was around $50. Once I opened it, the contents were mainly beauty stuff. I don't mind but what's the point of the beauty fukubukuro ? LOL!

E.L.F. Mineral Foundation SP 15 Light Set

I was browsing around Target the other day with Sho. While he was trying to look for photo frames, I told him that I'll be in the beauty section. I always tend to buy e.l.f. products whenever I visit Target. I don't know why. It's decent quality for the price you're paying. This is why I try to stay away from 99cent, Target, or Daiso. I always buy something even when I don't need it BUT for this case I was really running low on my powder foundation so decided to get this to replace.

September Glambag

It's november and here I am talking about September's glambag. Now you guys know I'm really behind on posts. I'll be staying in dorms this weekend to work on my art project. Might post more old news if I have the time.

The new make-up bag is a huge improvement from the previous mesh-type ones. The equality doesn't look cheap and I feel like I can use it has a purse wristlet. The SOHO brush is pretty useful. I can make a smokey eye look with this. Got another nail polish from Andrea's Choice (review will be posted next). I have to try out the mirabella and monoi items soon.

Peach Leaf Hand Soap

I bought this from Daiso a while back for my college dorm bathroom. I thought this would have a strong peach smell but boy was I wrong. Doesn't smell like peaches or peach leaves. It's just scentless. At least it was only $1.50

Myglam Gloss

Photobucket wasn't working yesterday so I couldn't upload photos for upcoming posts. Been meaning to post items from Aug subscription of myglam during labor day weekend but was just so busy. I'm so behind on posts. It's not even funny.

I guess myglam produced their own lip gloss. First off, the packaging is average. A shiny hot pink box. The gloss I got is 02. The color is a red/hot pink color with a sweet watermelon scent. The gloss wand is a doe-foot applicator. The gloss consistency isn't sticky which I like. It has little sparkles so my lips shine in the light. I noticed other glam users got a lighter pink color. I wish I could try out that color as well. I'm pretty happy with this extra bonus item from myglam.

Dragon Fruit roll-on perfume oil

This item was included in my aug subscription from myglam. Not sure what scent other users got but I received Dragon Fruit. It comes in a small glass bottle with a roll-on applicator. It's really small. You can carry it in your pocket or make-up bag. The scent has a sweet, tropical smell to it. I've eaten dragon fruit before but forgot the smell. The retail price for this is $10.00 so this perfume oil alone paid for my subscription.

August MyGlam Bag

I'm moving in the dorms tomorrow! I'm not done packing but I want to make a post before I go back to packing all night.

Today I'll be sharing my August subscription to myglam. It came with another mesh bag. It's orange with a pink zipper. The flyer illustration is drawn by Michelle Phan. It's beautiful. I just wished the mesh bag was as beautiful. This month's bag included 6 items! I'm assuming they gave out an extra one as saying thanks for being a subscriber (hence the thank you note). I'll try my best to review the following products this week. I'm busy everyday with student orientations. Oh yeah, the theme this month is "Endless Summer".

With this size, I was only able to use it three times until it ran out (I use a lot of conditioner). Still happy that I got to try it out. I saw a difference in my hair. My hair wasn't as tangly when getting out of the shower and it did feel a little softer.

Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip Stain

I was very skeptical about using this but now I love it. It takes time getting used to the texture. It really feels like I'm rubbing pink highlighter on my lips. The color doesn't stain or smear. I'm surprised at the lipstick lastability. I like to apply this first then use a lipgloss over it.

Circus by Andrea's Choice

I'll be reviewing Somersault Circus by Andrea's Choice. Andrea is a popular make-up guru on youtube. She will be launching her nail collection Fall 2012. The collection is very neon and has a circus theme. There are 5 nail polishes: Reverso, Ringmaster, Spectacle, Somersault, and Tightrope. I get first dibs on it since I'm a myglam subscriber. :]

I don't have nails cause I'm a nail bitter so I asked my friend Sayuri to lend me her nails. LOL.

We took these photos at night so the lighting is kinda dark. At first, I was going to show how each coat layer looked like but those pictures turned out too dark to edit. For the rest of the photos, I tried to make the best of it and to take photos at the best lighting angles possible.

This is a really bright yellow color. I like the pink and yellow combination. It reminds me of pink lemonade! Okay, on to the bad news. Sayuri had to apply 4 coats to achieve the bold yellow color. She says other nail polishes should cover with 2-3 coats.  Also, the nail polish has a really strong chemical smell. Hopefully your room is well ventilated.

I have thick, coarse, wavy/frizzy hair. Having dyed hair also makes it damaged. >_<

So I wanted to test the product out. On one side I used the product and the other side no product is used. I followed the directions and put it on my damp hair then I blow dried it out. This is the result.




The product did its job of keeping my frizz under control. Afterwards, I curled my hair and I liked how it turned out. Minimal amount of flyaway hairs. My hair even smells nice. A hint of floral.

It took forever to get on the subscriber list! I've been waiting since December. I checked the mail this morning and saw this pretty metallic pink package. I love receiving stuff in the mail (except for bills). I love opening packages. Feels like christmas.

The Philosophy fragrance is a sample size. I've seen this brand at Sephora but never paid much attention to it. After trying it out, I really like the fruity scent. I might buy the full size! The lipstick is a bit dark for me. I prefer neutral or pink colors. If I wasn't a crazy nail-bitter I would have loved the nail bling. Concealer and eyeliner brush came in handy. I needed new brushes anyway.

Sexy Girl Fiber Wax

I saw this item in the sale section of Marukai. Never used hair wax before might as well give it a try.

Directions: Put an adequate amount of wax on your palm and style your hair by spreading the wax throughout your hair.

At first it felt sticky and gross but it dried pretty soft. I then began curling my hair with my curling iron. After one curl, I noticed less of those annoying flyaway hairs. I was amazed on how my hair looked. Next time, I'll take pictures with and without using the product so you can see the difference. The smell is wonderful. My hair smells like a fresh rose garden.

Pure Seduction Fragrance Mist

My friend gave me this on my birthday back in November. I guess he noticed the empty bottle in my car. LOL.

Palty Sakura Creamy

I really wanted to dye my hair for the summer but haven't had the chance. With school starting next month. I had to get to it. I bought Sakura Creamy by Palty at Mitsuwa. Palty products were on sale for $8.99.


Directions were pretty simple to understand even for those who can't read Japanese.

Do this on dry hair.
1. Pour tube "1" into bottle "2". Mix well for 15 seconds.
2. Use brush nozzle. Start dyeing. Roots to tip.
3. Wait 20 mins for dye to set
4. Wash out dye. Use shampoo and conditioner. I shampooed my hair twice.
5. After drying your hair, add the oil treatment.

This was the first time I self-dyed my hair. I had Sho help me do the back of my head. It took about 30mins to cover my entire head plus wait another 20mins for the dye to set. It turned out great. I love the color.
