Torihei

This past weekend, I celebrated my boyfriend's father's birthday. They made reservations at Torihei, a japanese yakiniku restaurant. Apparently they made reservations last week at 6:30p but the restaurant called an hour before we were about to head over there saying that even though they made reservations, they are just too full and they would be pushed to 9:30pm. Luckily, we were finally able to enter this weekend. His parents were surprised that I have never been there before considering it's close by. It's the "it" place to go now. When we arrived, we were immediately seated and was told we had a two hour time limit. HA! High demand for this place. We quickly ordered our dishes. At first, it seemed like we didn't order much because the dishes kept coming out individually. I was thinking we have to order seconds. All the dishes that Sho's parents picked were delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.  After we finished our last main dish. We were too full to order seconds. Just got dessert and ended the night watching Jiro's dream of Sushi together.

Dolly Wink Eyebrow Pencil 01 Honey Brown

I only recently started caring about my eyebrows. Before I would only get them waxed. Now, I want to add color and shape. I've been using Dolly Wink's eyebrow pencil 01 Honey Brown for a couple weeks now. My friend Michi recommend it as a good starter. I'm still a newbie at shaping my eyebrows so bare with my photos.

Product Description
Achieve and maintain perfect brows all day long. This firm pencil precisely draws in individual brows or fills in broad areas. Can be used to fill gaps or lengthen the arc of the eyebrow to create the desired look. The defining pencil fills in with soft, blendable color for a natural look.

Product Info
❤ 01 Honey Brown
❤ Duel brush and pencil
❤ Smudge-proof
 ❤ Price: $14.95

Rating: 5/5
The only problem with this product is that it doesn't come with a sharpener. Besides that, I love it. The pencil goes on very smooth. The brush helps shape and blend the color together. The color lasts all day with no smudge. With water it does come off if you scrub it vigorously. It really adds shape and color to my dull eyebrows. And it matches my hair perfectly! I think if I bought the matching mascara it would complete the final look.

Nisei Week

Another old event that I forgot to post. This took place back in August.

There was a small la gyaru meetup for Nisei Week. I invited Sayuri to meet my la gyaru friends that I've been telling her about. I remember it being an extremely hot day and I wore black HA! This was also Kayo's last day in America so it was a good opportunity for Sayuri to meet her before she leaves.

Outside!

Peach Leaf Hand Soap

I bought this from Daiso a while back for my college dorm bathroom. I thought this would have a strong peach smell but boy was I wrong. Doesn't smell like peaches or peach leaves. It's just scentless. At least it was only $1.50

m.o.d.e.l 21 eyelashes

A few months back, Steve took me to Asian Garden Mall located in Little Saigon. There was a little beauty shop that sold hair products. Located in the back in a cubby hole were a bunch of eyelashes. I asked the lady how much. She said "$5 each and if you buy 4 I'll give you the 5th one free". Oh nice. I choose the styles. Out of the pile, I picked the most dramatic, full set of lashes. Two designs fit my style. For today, I'll be reviewing No. 34 from M.O.D.E.L 21.

Product Info
10 pairs of eyelashes
100% handmade
Re-usable
Synthetic hair

Packaging
The box itself offers no protection. It's just a plain orange box with a little see-through window. It can easily get flattened. The stock photo used looks out of date. The lashes are stuck one a white white cardboard. Nothing fancy.

Design
I like how the design alternates from thick to thin lashes. The design really suits me and I didn't have to trim the edges.

Comfort
The band is a bit stiff. You just have a flex the lashes a bit before you apply. At times it can feel a little heavy but I'm used to it after wearing so many thick type lashes. Can easily be removed by peeling them off or with oily based make-up remover. It still keeps its shape.

Where can you buy?
Some websites such as amazon and ebay may differ in their model numbers. Just look for the design. If anything, just order from their official website

GAL Birthday!

Trying to update social gatherings and what not from July to present. So many pictures!

So back in July, we had a birthday celebration for 4 gals (Cici, Michi, Nana, and Nicole). The plan was to have lunch at Botega Louie then dessert in K-town.
