Vassen Rainbow Eyes Grayish Blue

Pinkyparadise had their 7th year anniversary and they were selling their most popular lenses for $7 off. My friend Kristen did a bulk order and I paid her to order two pairs of lenses. This was one of them.

Lens Info
Diameter: 14.5mm
Water content: 42%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Life Span: 1 year
Price: $16.90 7th anni promotion normally $23.90

Color/Design: 5/5
The design is great. I like the blue & grey combination. It blends in well with my brown eyes. Depending on the lighting and distance, it can look like color varies from one to the other. My friend Steve says it makes me look like a mixed Asian.

Comfort: 2/5
I did have some discomfort in the left eye for the first 30mins or more. I kept having to take them in and out and putting eye drops in my eye. Other than that the rest of the day went smooth. I wore them out to a KBBQ party over 6 hrs with no pain.

Enlargement: 3/5
For 14.5mm, the lenses don't appear to have an enlargement for me. They do look great for a natural look though.

Overall: 3/5
I think the color suits well for my hair and face complexion but the hassle and the discomfort in the beginning made me dock a point and docking another point for the non-enlargment effect. It would be great in wearing this out for a everyday and pulling these off as my natural eyes but I wasn't looking for the natural look in buying this pair.

Hope you enjoyed this review!

Purple Bath Set

Back in May, I went over to my auntie's house for Mother's Day party. It was a potluck so I made chirashi and shrimp tempura. I always feel awkward being there because everyone else is much closer. We just see them once a year whereas they see other all the time. My dad and sister weren't there as always. Dad isn't the social type and my sister would any excuse not to go so she happened to "help out" at a church event. It was a good thing I forced my bf to come because I didn't want to be alone and it was a good thing because once my mother entered the place she immediately sat down with all the other older relatives leaving me and Sho to fend for ourselves haha! We ate dinner with everyone and made small talk with my second cousins and our time was cut short because Sho needed to spend time with his mother for mother's day. Apparently his parents had dinner reservations (yikes) so I kinda sped back to Torrance on the freeway. Dropped my mom off, then went to meet with his parents for dinner.

Long story short, the relatives gave us our christmas presents at the party because I was in Japan during winter so I missed their xmas gathering. I got this purple bath set. They know I love this kind of stuff and it has floral print. They know me so well lol

Coach glasses

Finally got a new pair of eyeglasses. I haven't had a new pair since 2007. They were discounted for $89.99 got the prescription at Costco. The type is Coach Nicole 792AF. I love the simple monotone design and the flower on the side adds a cute girly touch.

Here's the professional image of it.

Last week

Since the semester ended, I'm staying over my bf's place in Irvine for two weeks. During the school year, we only see each other during the weekends he comes back to Torrance to visit me and his parents. I love the winter and summer breaks where we can see each other more often.  Every time I'm here in Irvine, I just feel so relaxed. From 9a-6p, he's busy in the corporate world and here I am just chilling at his place. OMG I love getting 8hrs of sleep ^o^ That never happens during the school year. So this has been my routine since last week

8am: Wake up and prepare a light breakfast for bf. When I'm not around he skips out and I cannot allow it. hehe.
8:40am: Bf leaves for work. I go back to sleep
10am: Wake up again. Change into exercise clothes. Bf has a hiking/bicycle trail near his place. I walk or jog for about 5miles
12pm: Come back from jogging. Shower. Make lunch
12-6pm. Watch netflix shows/movies, clean house/do laundry, take a nap play games or blog.
6-7: BF comes back.
7p-12am: We either go out walking on the trail, grocery shopping or go on a dinner date.
1am: Sleep

repeat cycle

Here's some pictures I took throughout the week

Ellefar Double Item Compact C - Purple

So back in a december post, I bought some eyeshadow palettes from Daiso. I took some photos back in January and never got the chance to upload to my blog so might as well do it now.

Product Info: Ellefar Double Item Compact Type C -Purple

Price: $1.50

Packaging: Simple packaging. Just clear wrap around it with simple text.

The top layer has the 4 eyeshadows while bottom layer has 2 blush colors and it comes with a soft foam and blush applicator. It's also equipment with a mirror.

Texture: The 3 lighter colors blend chalky. The white one has glitter in it and the dark purple blends lighter so you have to apply more layers to achieve the darker look. At first, I didn't like the way the blush appeared on my forearm, I thought it appeared too dark but once I applied it to my face it actually looked good.

Overall
For what it's worth, I think this is a good buy. If you are a first time eyeshadow user, it's a good way to practice. The colors are light and doesn't feel heavy when you apply more than 5 layers on and you don't look like a clown. I do recommend using the applicator applying the eyeshadow than using your fingers. It just blends better.

Pros:
- cheap price
- 4 eyeshadows and 2 blushes all in one small compact

Cons:
- Eyeshadows are a bit chalky
- Not smudge proof
- Not waterproof
- Need a primer to see the colors better.
