Chinatown in LA had their annual 113th Golden Dragon Parade. My mom had some free time so she wanted to watch it. I remember being in the parade back in middle school when I use to take Kung Fu (was a Jet Li fan). We found a good spot right where the parade begins. I brought a foldable chair for my mom to sit while I stood up. Kinda sad that I didn't see my old Kung Fu school in the parade. There were lots of marching bands, politicians, and a random batmobile.
After the parade, everyone was either running to leave LA to beat traffic or running to eat. We rushed over the nearest restaurant called Hop Li. I ordered BBQ Roasted Duck and my mother ordered Rock Cod on vegetables. Yum!
